Welcome to the Women of Colour Brighton!

Our group is for Women of Colour and Black women, mostly based in Brighton, UK. We are for anyone who identifies with being (or being perceived) as a woman of colour. This space is inclusive of marginalised gender identities including non binary and trans people of colour.

The Women of Colour Brighton group started as an informal group by Leila Zadeh, Rifa Thorpe-Tracey, Amy Hall and Joyoti Bondi in 2018, to connect women of colour. We were ready to support our community during lockdown and during the BLM protests: often giving WOC the only space they could truly express.

We are currently a community group with a written constitution and committee members including Pauline Rutter, Rifa Thorpe-Tracey and Adriana Lord.

This group is a space to rant, to share, to promote yourself and tell us about events and cool stuff.

There is LOTS of knowledge and talent in this group - all ages, backgrounds and working in all sectors and levels.
